Apart from wine tasting the Barossa Valley hosts many special festivals and events every month of the year. Barossa Vintage Festival, the country's largest wine festival is held every two years in April, with many activities and over 100 events held for a week, purely to celebrate vintage.

Other festivals include Barossa Jazz Weekend, Barossa Under the Stars Concert, Melodienacht German music festival or Shakespeare In the Vines theatre performance.

Discover a continuous celebration of gourmet wine and food at Barossa Gourmet Weekend or film displays. Sporting related events include Barossa Golf Open, South Australia Women's Hardcourt Championships, Jacobs Creek Tour Down Under Cycling Race, Brauer Half Marathon or Classic Adelaide Rally car racing.

Weekly events include Farmers Markets held every Saturday morning, filled with food produce grown locally in the Barossa region. Barossa Film Club hosts regular movie screenings each month, while theatre and dance companies perform for the local community.

Outside the Cellar celebrates vintage wines with delicious food, wines and live music on the beautiful grounds of Chateau Tanunda. Kapunda Farm Fair celebrates primary industries, with displays on agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, clothing and machinery.

From day tours to week-long festivities, a visit to the Barossa Valley is full of new adventures. From gliding championships, horse and air shows, Australia's Open Garden Scheme, country fairs to arts and crafts, the Barossa Valley is alive all year with entertainment and activities for everyone to appreciate the heritage of this stunning wine region.
